A unit of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is located on Lookout Mountain. The site of the Civil War battle commonly referred to as "The Battle Above the Clouds." The trail is short and very easy to navigate, even with kids. The views are incredible and there are lots of plaques along the well telling you information about the role Chatanooga played in the war.
